Blood after semen is ejaculated...

After ejaculation i had white normal sperm...but right after brownish red sperm came out and the tip of my penis had some pain..this happened several times...can there be some sort of tear where the semen comes out..remember there are no blood dots in the semen only right after it comes out....

Blood in the semen is called hematospermia. It is usually a self-limited condition that tends to be benign, but in older patients, it may rarely be associated with malignancy. Most commonly it is associated with an inflammatory condition of the prostate (such as prostatitis) or the seminal vesicles. Blood clots in the urine however may be indicative of something not related to the ejaculation, but rather in the bladder and should be further evaluated. If the blood in the semen becomes persistent, further evaluation with a urologist would be advised.

Thank you. It seems this is a common occurance.  I too have thoae symptoms... It reminded me of when I was a child and eat too many beats at dinner and urinated what I thought was blood.  Very scary untill my dad put 2 and 2 together.
