Hi Darlene, Thank you for your question. Taking Flomax should not be harmful to you. However, keep in mind that Flomax is only approved by the FDA to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). You may want to ask your doctor why he is prescribing this medication to you when there are several other medications available that are used specifically to treat incontinence. Best of luck, Casey
