Shrink prostate or treat symptoms? Which medication is the most effective for the future?

My husband has just been prescribed the medication Terazosin for his prostate issue. After learning that this medication is used to treat high blood pressure I am wondering if this is the best medication for him? It appears this will treat his symptoms and not shrink the enlarged...
