Q: I have enlarged prostate with mild symptoms. Doctor advises TURP. Should I or wait??

70 year old male. I have enlarged prostate with mild symptoms. Doctor advises TURP. Should I or wait??

Mild symptoms are usually first treated with medical therapy. Prior to undergoing surgery, a trial of some of the various medication that are available to treat the prostate should be utilized.
