Q: A friend has an enlarged prostate, his PSA is 100, no news on biopsy results yet.

My friend is in the hospital with acute pain from an enlarged prostate. It took 24 hours after he was admitted to do a biopsy and a psa.  His psa results is 100 and it will take 2 days for the biopsy results.  Needless to say my friend is very scared.  Does a psa of 100 mean cancer?  What is the percentages that it does?  Also, does it normally take 21/2 days to read a biopsy?  I am worried that time may be important factor if it is cancer.
