Prostate regrowth can occur after a green light prosatectomy or after a TURP.

It is estimated that about 10-15% of patients may experience regrowth great enough to warrant a repeat procedure during their lifetime. Factors contributing to this are obviously the age at the time that the prostatectomy occurs, how big the prostate was originally, and how agressively the prostate was treated.
