Q: recurent prostrate cancer post radical prostatectomy

Iam four years post op from a incomplete laproscopic/robotic prostatectomy, posterior portion was unable to be removed. My PSA is currently 1.1 and had three successive rises in my PSA over and eight month period. Scans show no Mets to the bone and Ct with contrast is clear. I know Avodart is being studied for treating recurrent cancer. Any information concerning the ongoing study or anticipated ones would be appreciated. I was a Health Care Provider for forty years so I understand clinical information. Thanks for you response.

Three continuous rises in PSA after treatment indicates a biochemical failure.  I would recommend early intervention with consideration being given to radiation therapy.
