Q: I was told I have prostatitis from having unprotected sex with a girl, and need answers???

I am 23 years old and have been having problems with my prostate. It all started when I had unprotected sex, and about 4 weeks later I was having pain. She was clean from STDs, but my doctor told me it was prostatis most likely. I had all the symptoms; lower back pain, pain when urinating, frequent urination, pain in the tip of penis, burning after ejaculation and fever and chills. They put me on Levaquin for about 4 weeks, and now I'm taking ciprofloxacin. The symptoms have all dissapeared but recently I just got pain again in my left side just below my butt and it feels like it's the prostate that's hurting as well. I'm just worried that it might be chronic prostatis or some other severe prostate problems that have developed from this bacterial infection I got from this girl. I still urinate frequently, and it happens almost right after I drink something sometimes. Pain in the penis still is there on occassion, and my anus is very easily cut just from whiping after I pass a bowel movement. Should I see a urologist or am I just worrying too much? If you could give me anymore information on my problem, it'd be greatly appreciated.

From my research half of the people with this get it right after unprotected sex, my guess instantly is a STD believe or not, most docs say its prostatis, prostate problems at 24? i dont think so... but 1/2 of the men say they got this and have never had sex, so maybe it is the prostate seems far off, but whatever... no ones coming forward that i can see with clear answers or cures, so just hope, wait, and pray for healing from GOD.. and live with these irratations thats all i can do... it seems to go away from antibotics till I pee or ejaculate then here it comes again..
