Is Tussionex addicting if misused or abused: YES!

One of Tussionex's main ingredients is Hydrocodone, the same drug that's in Vicodin. Hydrocodone is a narcoticand has pain relieving and antitussive (cough-relieving) properties. The fact that hydrocodone helps decrease coughing is why it's in Tussionex cough syrup. 5 mL (or 1 teaspoon) of cough syrup contains 5mg of hydrocodone (the same amount as 1 pill of Vicodin). If your brother has this medication and has a history of drug abuse, then it is a good propability that he is abusing it. If he medically needs this medication a family member should take the medication and give it to him correctly. The last thing your brother needs is to relapse and have to be re-admitted into rehap. So my advice to you is to take the medication from him and only provide dosing to him when medically needed. Otherwise, he should NOT be taking this.
