Q: Unbelievably high PSA level

My step-father says his PSA level is 4000.  His latest test was in April 2010.  In January his test result was a PSA level of 3400.  I have seen no change in his daily routine and he says he is not in pain, other than normal issues for a 75 year old man.  What does a 4000 PSA level mean?  He was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, but it went into remission, until about a year ago.

My father is going thru the same thing. Psa of 3400 in January 2012. Still alive and kicking, although experiencing some weight loss. What can I expect from here? I feel so much in the dark. Do you mind sharing your experience with me? Reply
