enlarged prostate treatment

my father is 55 and has enlarged prostate problem and bad legs. for the heat therapy can he use a heating pad to sit on instead of hot baths? he is unable to get in and out o the tub.

I'm 38 and have an enlarged prostate.  But after visits to several urologists over the years, it seems the root cause for me -- and for many others -- is diet.

 

Suggest your father cut the following from his diet for 1 month (1000% strict):

 

* Caffeine (including decaf coffees and teas)

* Chocolate

* Spicy food

* Ginger

* Alcohol

 

and see if it helps.

 

Also, you may be able to find a special "Sitz bath" that is fixed to the toilet that allows you to soak the prostate without getting into the tub.
