Q: Can Avodart be used for hair growth?

Hi Stanley,

 

Thank you for your question. Avodart is similar to Propecia (generic name finasteride), which is FDA approved to treat alopecia, or hair loss. Avodart is not FDA approved to treat alopecia, though there is some evidence to support its use. You can read more about Avodart here.  I hope this helps!
