Q: Casodex and prostate cancer

I am a 65 year old male living in Los Angeles area. Height 5'11", 175 lbs. slender frame, non-smoker, 1 glass of wine per day, exercises daily. I take Lescol to keep cholesterol under control and Diovan / Hct for blood pressure management. My PSA has elevated in recent months to 8 with free score of 1.8 which puts me in a 23% chance of having cancer. A recent November prostate biopsy shows cancer in 5% of material analyzed (95% shows no cancer). Gleason score is 6. A urologist prescribed Casodex for me to suppress any new cancer cells that may result from "needle tracking" and also may help to lower my PSA. I have been reluctant to take Casodex due to the many side effects it may cause including possibility of being lethal. I have not made a surgery decision for my cncer for time being and instead using watchful waiting. Given my present condition, would you think Casodex to be worth the risk?
