BPH and incontinence among other things related?.

I am taking several medications due to my disabilaty, Hydrochlorotazne, Sertraline HCL, Terazosin, Simvastatin, Metformin, Dilantin, and Tegretol. I am dealing with skin cancer, epilepsy, BPH, Incontinence, etc. Are these related?

Hi David,

 

Thanks for your question.  Clearly, the BPH and incontinence might be related.  One of the symptoms of enlarged prostate is an inability to empty the bladder completely, which often leads to dribbling or leakage after urination.  However, I haven't seen anything in the medical literature to suggest that skin cancer or epilepsy might be tied in to these other conditions.

I was just curious about the medications that I take as mentioned in my last post. My incontinence is due to an auto accident, as is my epilepsy. Since then I have had several mini strokes that has left my right side numb.
