Hi Wonderingabout,   Ciprofloxin is an antibiotic that is prescribed for a variety of bacterial infections. You can read about gonorrhea here in the medical journal. It is possible you will need a different dosage of the medication based on several factors including severity of the infection. It's best to see your doctor and get it treated quickly. Some people are infected with resistant strains that require more than one antibiotic to treat.   Remember, online sites are great resources for information so that you are able to ask the important questions that will help you manage your healthcare, however they can not take the place of your doctor's solid medical advice.     Take care and stay in touch!Vicki M
