Q: I am 61-yrs old and last year was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer.

I am being given hormone treatments, the first being given 6/09.  From what I've read, once it's metastisized (sic) through the lymph nodes as widely as mine has, the prognosis is usually only for 16-36 months survivability.  Does anyone know if this is about right--should that be what I can reasonanly expect to be my life expectancy?  Thanks for any information you might be able to pass on.  Dan
