Q: are cardura tabs effective for reducing prostate and are they hormones?
Cardura is not a hormone. It is a drug that is in the category of an alpha blocker. This drug does not reduce the prostate volume but relaxes certain muscle fibers that constrict the opening of the bladder and the prostate. Relaxing these muscle fibers helps improve the urinary flow and allows the bladder to more effectively empty.
