Yes the gelatin of avodart is from bovine origin!

 

Here is the part of the original prescribing information: The inactive excipients in the capsule shell are gelatin (from certified BSE-free
bovine sources)

BSE-free bovine sources means that they extract gelatin from the bones, skin of cows that have not a decease called Bovine spongiform encephalopathy commonly known as mad-cow disease.
