Worried about prostate cancer...!!
I'm a 38 year old man with no history of prostate cancer in the family. For the last year following a prostate infection in which they found infection I've been having prostate problems ranging from painful to annoying. 7 months ago I went to Uro and was treated with antibiotics and flomax psa 2.3....Uro seemed unconcerned with possible prostate cancer thus did no other testing. Symptoms subsided for several months then came back not as bad so I ignored them for a few months but finally went to my pcp and got treatment and another test....she also doubted prostate cancer. New psa was .7......but I realized I had been taking asprin and flowmax which I heard can lower psa score....if it lowered it should I be worried? If not are chances good that I don't have cancer and just have stubborn prostatitas?
