Q: IS enlarged prostate and elevated PSA numbers hereditary?

My husband has a PSA of 5. His father and gfather also had enlarged prostate and elevated PSA #. What are the chances that this is a hereditary condition? His father had lung cancer, but not confirmed prostate cancer. He is panicking and making himself sick with worry. They have put him on antibiotics for 30 days and has helped it lower but then when he gets retested itr it back up. His levels range from 3.6 to 5.0
