No real symptoms but psa has doubled in the last 6 months, had a second biopsy one week ago, on this occassion I have only had a small amount of blood in my urine and motions on the first day. I have not had any pain but feel a little uncomfortable around my groin. is this normal?

With the first biopsy I had blood spots for a bout two weeks

PCa almost never has "real symptoms" -- that's one of the problems with it.

The amount of blood seems to vary all over the place.  I was like you, almost.  No visible blood anywhere, except bloody ejaculate the first time I masturbated.
