Flomax and Proscar can both be taken together. These are both drugs that help treat prostate enlargement. Flomax is given to help relieve the acute process of the retention. The Proscar is intended as a long-term treatment to help shrink the size of the prostate, but its effects may not be seen for 3-6 months.
