Have you had a biosy to prove cancer exists? You may need a TURP to reduce the size of the prostate, if this is causing a urination problem. Your question is interesting because if your doctor prescribed avodart/casodex it may mean there is cancer present. Casodex/Avodart is a total androgen blockade which means the prostate cannot manufacture any tostesterone which prostate cancer feeds on.
