Elevated PSAof 6.15 in 77 yr. old?

My husband recently had a PSA test, resulting in reading of 6.15..he is 77 yrs. old, and has no symptoms. His PCP is sending him to a urologist...what can he expect?  Does this indicate prostate cancer??
