Q: Had prostatectomy 4 weeks ago and just had first PSA test, result .26. I had a post surgery Gleason of 4+3 and surgeon said cancer was contained. What does the .26 indicate, what are my options?

The first PSA post surgically is usually <.04 if there is no evidence of residual disease. A PSA of .26 post-treatment is somewhat problematic. If the PSA does not fall to less than .04 at the next assessment, there is concen about residual disease.
