About a week ago, I found bright red blood in my semen. I went to my urologist,and he gave me a prostate exam,and said it was tender,,he also checked my urine, and found no blood in it,,,,, gave me antiobiotics,,cipro 500 mg twice a day for 12 days. I am still taking the antibiotics now. Again this morning, there was dark colored blood in my semen (brown)....I am a scared 57 year old male,,,and need some encouragement......thanks,, mike

Hi Mike, I'm not answering your question but rather letting you know you're not the only one with this problem!! I as you had bright red blood 3 days ago in my semen.
I am scared to death right now! I have a appointment with my urologist tomorrow afternoon. I hope I have good news! I did have the same thing happen last night only this time the color seemed darker red . I am also in my 50's and really concerned! Doing alot of research on the web and finding a little comfort from some of the answers on the forums. Hope things work out for both of us .
