Q: My father had cancer come back 7 years later after the first seed inplant. So he has had two see inplant Now his PSA is starting to go up again. Why would the cancer keep coming back?

The rising PSA after the seed implant represents a radiation failure. Depending on how rapid the PSA is rising, his age, and his original grade of tumor, are allfactors that will be used to determine the need for additional treatment.
