Q: I have swelling in my lower abdomen slightly above the base of the penis above the left testicle.

I have swelling in my lower abdomen slightly above the base of the penis above the left testicle. The area is sensitive almost like an ache. I noticed blood in my seimen. The discomfort has been going on for about 2 days and the blood was noticed tonight. Any ideas ?

Hi,

These symptoms sound serious enough that you should talk to your doctor about them. Although the two symptoms may not be connected (blood in semen is often self-contained, and may go away on its if caused by an infection), you may want to try out our symptom checker here:
