Blood in semen and urine

about a week ago, I had what looked like blood in the end of an ejaculation. My wife freaked, but there was no pain then or since. the bloodyness was nearly gone the next day, but I am noticing what looks like dried clots of blood in my urine and in my ejaculation still. I went to my doctor, had a checkup and a urine sample taken, and they determined that I had a UTI, and wanted me to follow up with a eruologist. Im concerned about the clots that are still showing up. they are tiny , but worrysome. I could not get in to see the specialist  until later this month. should I be worried about this and demand to be seen earlier?
