Green light laser is a minimally invasive procedure that is used to relieve prostate obstrcution. Under anesthesia, a laser fiber is inserted into the urethra through a custoscope. The laser energy (light) is then directed at the prostate and vaporization of the prostate occurs, relieving the obstruction. The procedure is assoicated with very high success rates and low complication rates.
