A new study has found that prostate cancer may promote nerve growth in order to feed itself. Researchers studying this link between aggressive cancer and nerve growth found that men who had died of prostate cancer had a greater density of nerves in their prostate tissue than men who died of other diseases. Experts say that this new nerve growth appears to spur a more aggressive type of cancer because the growth nourishes the disease.
