Proscar Side Effects

Baldness drug may prevent prostate cancer

Experts say that healthy men over the age of 55 may want to consider taking the drug finasteride. A recent survey of 15 studies found that the baldness drug, which goes by the trade names Propecia and Proscar, lowers the level of a hormone that can contribute to the growth of prostate cancer. Some experts warn that the drug can be costly, and that it can cause side effects such as impotence and reduced sexual desire.
