Statins May Help Prostate Cancer Patients

Duke University Medical Center scientists have found that cholesterol-lowering statins may slow the progression of prostate cancer by significantly reducing prostate tumor inflammation. This study may add to evidence found in previous research that suggests the widespread use of statins over the past 15 years has contributed to a decline in prostate cancer mortality.
