I had a horrific episode of tenosynovitis in my left wrist for the first half of December which finally was relieved after several weeks. The orthopedic doctor still has me using a splint for some of the time, but the worst is definitely behind me. I don't mind needing an occasional splin...

I'm not a doctor and I don't know enough about your case to know with any degree of certainty. However, if the pain gets better with the use of the splint, it's likely that it's related to what happened to you. Maybe it's a trapped nerve? I would suggest that you not try to wean yourself off the splint until you've consulted your doctor and I don't think you should wait three months. Give your doctor's office a call, describe the problem and ask for an earlier appointment. It's quite possible that this is something that'll disappear as you heal, but I think it's important to get it checked out, just in case.

Thanks, Lene, for your comment. I do believe it is related to the tendonitis, but I had that burning sensation prior to the flareup of the tendonitis. Maybe it was "brewing"....
