I am having a tough time getting my fiancee to realize how badly I am hurting. He knows about the RA, but just doesn't seem to understand the seriousness, or how extreme the pain is. I have RA. I have just seen the Rheumotogists for the first time a week ago. He prescribed Methotrexate, Prednisone and Plaquenil. My concern is with the Methotrexate. I am supposed to take it every Friday, twice in the morning, twice at night. But I haven't taken it yet, because I like to drink. Not a lot, but I do like a beer or two at night... Read more

I am looking for advice about getting on disability. I have recently been diagnosed with RA. I have four kids under 10, and I work about 25 hours a week at a library. Which is a job where I am constantly lifting with my hurt hands, and getting up and down with my torn knees. I don't think I can go on much longer working, and trying to keep my home... Read more

I am 28 with four kids, a job, and I was recently diagnosed with RA. I am living with lots of pain, have not seen the rhemetologists yet, and don't really know what to expect.
