I have been through the same thing numerous times. Everytime I mention that I have RA someone wants to tell me that they have arthritis in their hands or knees. Talk about frustration! I believe that the doctors still don't know everything there is to know about RA, which makes it very hard to raise awareness. It's frustrating to all of us! I know that I usually take just a little extra time to explain the difference, if they will listen that is. It get very tiring though! Good luck and best wishes!
