Well, today @ 2pm, I go see my rheumy... We will discuss my newly found positive ANA and my treatment options. Possibly starting Humira injections.... Honestly, I'm very anxious to hear what else is going on with as I have been talking to some of you already about this. I have some many new and different symptoms now..... Have for a few weeks, worrisome too. Shes also doing xrays on my hands and feet to check damage. I'm sure many of you can relate, just wanted to "vent" for a minute... Nerves you know!So later this evening I will post the results. Again, it is so nice to have this site and group of people to talk to. I've learned so much in a very short time too !

Well, no lupus! good news. Will get xrays results next visit, pc's werent connecting right... I am very low on Vit. D. Back on it now forever, ugh another pill. My pains been awful, she said the head sensitivity is probly vit. d related. I got my humira shot, I had no idea it burned soooo bad. Im a chicken to needles so this will be a challenge for me to do. My insurance approved it for 5 yrs.I came home and ate a bite, went to bed. My legs werent going to take another step.... Like you, it wore me out too!! Then I got up for 2 hrs and went back to bed. EXHAUSTED......... This morning we are getting huge t-storms and wind. My bodies killing me. I do think the weather plays a part in this. Oh random but do you know of any type of work I could do from home? Just looking around. Thank you for checking back on me. I will be back on later. Body just not feelin it this mornin!!!! I hope you are having a good day and yes long distances pain free hugs sent to you..
sorry I didn't see this earlier - I could've warned you about the Humira shot. It stings like... well, A LOT! Makes your eyes sweat. I've been on this for five years now and figured out a way to minimize it. Do the shot in your belly and pinch a piece of flab really hard (it's OK - we all have a bit of flab there). Stab yourself and hold the pinch as the medication gets pushed in. Then swear up a blue streak.
When you put a band-aid/kleenex/gauzepad on the site afterwards, don't press hard - it continues to sting for a minute or two.
Some people also find that icing the injection site for several minutes before your shot. It numbs the area and can reduce the sting.
Good luck! I hope Humira will work well for you.
