Thanks Rena, Wonderwoman, V, and everyone else for your support. Graves Disease is caused by a defective thyroid, hyperthyroidism.... I was hypo, but that changed somehow. It affects your eyes and some other parts but I myself am still learning about it. I do know that it causes swelling and enlargement of the six muscles that hold your eyeball in place and makes it move. Imagine the feeling of someone behind your eyes pushing your eyes outward stretching the muscles. It's quite painful. All the pain meds I'm on and anti inflammatories don't touch it. You ever seen a person whose eyes are buldging way out, that Graves at its worst. Can't remember the name. ... The treatments vary, but from what I know so far is they can put you on prednisone, then zap it with radiation if that doesn't work, then removal of the thyroid. And stay on my thryroid meds for life, which most people end up doing anyways. I am almost at the point, like tomorrow, calling the "eye socket" specialist my opthamologist told me to call if it got flared again,my eyes are burning bad and I have a excuse the term hellacious headache. IT IS!!! The day before yesterday, my right eye went black on the right side of my vision. So, they said it wouldn't affect my vision so do they have my diagnoses correct?????? And to update you guys more, I also got diagnosed from my RD with osteoarthritis that showed in my xrays of my hands n feet. So, She put me on neurontin 3x's a day. It makes me a happy drunk. LOL I can barely walk straight, but it helps my pain and my anxiety. She also put me on cymbalta 3x's a day instead of the 3 pills n the morning that my shrink put me on... It works better that way. I am also voicemailing my RD because my insurance needed a CPT code for my tub. I kept getting that the vendor had that, not the doc. Well, the insurance said it was the doc, so I got mad!!! I spent all weekend looking for these codes on the internet. Guess what, I found them. (I already had the ICD-9 code but that wasn't enough.)So, I found the CPT codes also called HCPC... I called my RD, leaving another voicemail with the code of 99215.... For some reason, docs aren't using that code but rarely now. It covers alot. So, my message was for the doc to check out the code and if she agreed to please call my insurance and give it to them. I also, found a cadillac walk in jetted tub through Envy the maker of these tubs with no middle man. They are SOOO polite. They are in Arizona, free shipping, no sales tax and the guy said set up is dummy proof cuz they even send instructions. He said its simple. But I can get an installer if i prefer. Here it is, the tub is ONLY $2899.00. Thats still more than I can do on my own til maybe tax refund time, but if insurance pays I only have to pay 20%.... He said not to do Premier or safetub. I had already looked at them so I knew he was tellin the truth. They are 9 to $10,000 .... Envy offers an awesome warranty 10 years on the tub and lifetime on the seal on the door. And 31 jets. This is the large size, the water will come over my shoulders and I'm 5'7".... So maybe all my jabberin will give some of you guys some short cuts and help you out. I'll let you know how it works out as I haven't heard back from my RD office yet but I am being patient til next Monday, then I'll call them again.... Persistance,LOL!!!! Luv u guys, take care.

Once again you share some valuable information for us, Angie. Isn't it crazy how we have to follow up on everything? That is why Lene always writes about advocating for ourselves. I think you are already there!
So sorry about the Graves Disease. Does not sound pleasant. Please share info on this as you go along and learn. I am interested on how this is treated, and how you are doing, and I am quite sure other readers are, too.
You have a great attitude, Angie. And do I see a bit of stubborness there, too? That is a good thing. Just keep being you.
Blessings,
V
Thank you. You made me smile! Yes, I am stubborn!
