Amen. I'm waiting for something to work too. On my fourth week of Enbrel and figuring out that it's better than before, but not better enough. Do they make a patience pill?

I agree it's the passions in our life that keep us going and dogs are a great choice. My mutt monster is my most understanding companion, even when I have bad days and make the kids go for walks instead of me.

    Hi Debra,

Just wondered if the Enbrel ever finally kicked in for you - I've been on it for 4+ years now and doing pretty well.  In fact, I just had to go off my other med, Celebrex, because even Celebrex was finally biting my stomach - yeaow!  and I'm surviving, hurting a bit more, but find I can take it, by reminding myself to pace things, and not do too much at once -

Thanks for your concern, I'm still not convinced that Enbrel is doing more than the methotrexate did before, but I'm coping. In fact, I just finished a major hike that I'm posting a long article about. I think I just need to accept pain as a constant and work around it.

Enbrel doesn't work for everyone - and I'm not sure it works as well for me as it used to.  Remicade is much better for some...Hope you find what works for you, whether it's meds, alternative treatments, or yoga/tai chi/herbal/acupuncture/massage - I think all of these can contribute, and we're all different (with different backgrounds before the RA hit).

    Best wishes,
