See the accompanying comic strip!     I'm a little vain. I admit it freely.  If you believe in astrology, this flaw is not really my fault. As a Libra; I am naturally drawn to the decadent, pretty little things in life.  I like to eat good food, drink good wine, and look nice w...

I'm a bridesmaid next month.  I love the bride to death and would do anything for her, including wearing the shoes from hell.  The other bridesmaids are shorties, so the shoes are a good four inches, seriously, I measured them.  I've had nightmares about walking down the hill (outdoor wedding), slipping, riding down the hill on my butt, and landing in the cake.  The dream ends with me sittting in the cake, with a grass stained butt, crying while eating the best cake ever.  I think I might have high heel anxiety...

You seem to always write about the things that are on my mind at the time...

    Kate,

I hope it doesn't happen, but I love the image of you with your grass-stained butt sitting in the cake eating it!  totally made me laugh.  I hope all goes well, and that your high heel anxiety ends up being all for nothing!

Awesome! Nothing like that moment where you realize just how much of a miracle Enbrel (etc) is. So glad you had fun - enjoy the blisters!

I was wondering how so many people can afford to be on Embrel.  My doctor told me going on one of the biologicals would be best for me, but I just can't afford it.  I'm on methotrexate instead, which isn't working totally.  How does everyone do it?

You should start with Lisa Emrich's deep post about medication assistance programs. Click here. She lists drugs and financial assistance programs specifically for them, as well as programs offered by the drug manufacturers and some charity organizations.

There are ways to get help with paying for drugs you need. Talk to your doctor as well. And talk to people here on this site.

    Good luck!
