Hey Sara, fantastic news!  I'm so proud of you!  You must feel so much more in control.  Sounds like you have a lot of discipline (I have less than zero).  Maybe I'll try this aproach in a little while (in a bad flare right now).  Do you get tired managing all of this?

    Anyway, great job, enjoy it!

    xo,

    Susan

Thanks, Susan.  It felt really good and a little surreal.  Of course, it's an ongoing process to stay that way, but I gotta say, I feel this worked for me when nothing else did, and still allows me to eat like a normal person!  Good luck with your flare-I hope it ends soon!

Sara - congratulations.  I'm so happy for you.  With the challenge of having RA and trying to diet to lose weight it is a great accomplishment and something to be proud about and shout to the WORLD that you have made it (Reached your Goal).

     Keep up the good work!

Thanks!!! I can't lie- it feels really really really good.  And I kind of thought it might never happen, so very happy to have proved myself wrong!

Congratulations on your weight loss.  You are an inspiration.  I've been trying to lose my post diagnosis weight too.  Job well done!  Keep up the share posts too.  Love them!

    hi Sara,

As a WW member for 2 1/2 years, I know all about it. I've lost 57 lbs on WW.  I'd like to lose another 50 more, but since my RA DX and Prednisone, I haven't had much luck in losing more. I've dropped 4 sizes already (from a tight 24 to a comfortable 18).  I keep thinking the Prednisone is making my weight loss stop, but I'm not giving up. I still go to weekly meetings, I still listen to everyone else's joys and successes (although sometimes I get discouraged knowing I'm STILL too far away from that 6th ribbon, the last one i got was January 08!!)...but, on the flip side to that, if I had given up, I would have gained my weight back.  Eventually, you just live and breathe WW... I just got back from vacation and gained about 9 lbs!! eek!  But, I don't feel guilty, I just feel miserable because I can feel the difference, and I DON'T LIKE IT!  I went right back on program, and enjoy the healthy eating again... I never thought I'd say I was sick of bad foods... but I am.. so good luck to you on WW.  it is a good program and it works!!  ~Desiree
