There are MANY types of arthritis and auto-immune diseases that cause joint pain. I was very hard to diagnose, I am sero-negative so after a bazillion xrays, mri's and bloodwork and imperical treatment I was diagnosed. I searched literally for years for the cause of my pain. I also saw several doctors. It was symmetrical and sudden, my right side still hurts far worse than my left. Ask lots of questions, be your own advocate, only you know what is going on with your body. I hope you find your answers and I really hope it's not RA or any other bad or chronic condition. You can find alot of information here whether it be on the posts or the ask section, I did. Some info might be personal experience and some actual ACR information both are very valuable. Good Luck and best wishes to ya
