Drugs I am Taking

Mobic at night. Dr. wants me to start Methotrexate...so I can move up to the "better" stuff...not feeling any of that so much.

About Me

Hi. I'm a 41yr old woman who was diagnosed with RA in April. I had been having issues with my hands/feet/shoulders/jaws for a few years. Then a local dr. who had seen me three times (at a walk in clinic) in as many months for shoulder & jaw pain, simply said "how long are you going to put up with this joint pain before you do something?" Something clicked....I'd never put the different pains together....suddenly it made sense that maybe it could be related. I made an appt with my regular provider. She examined my hands and did labs. I found out a few days later. I haven't taken it as the "crippling" diagnosis it could be. It's become my wake up call. I've been to my initial rheumatologist appt and have already switched to a different one. My first appt with him is later in June. I think I might be one of those patients they don't like very much. I hate taking medicine....I do it if I have to...but I have to know/believe I "have to" before I will. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I'm taking anti-inflammatory meds now...because it's allowing me to get out of bed in the am. I'm also seeing a chiroprator and trying to eat better. I want to do as much as I can on my own to live with this condition. I figure if it would take up to 6mos for some of the meds to work....I can take some time on my own to work on me naturally. So there it is....
