I have been struggling with excess sweating for a number of years now and considered it to be hormonal. It is so severe that my head is continually soaked and dripping, not a nice look!
In the midst of all the other issues I am juggling, I had put it on a back shelf in my head, considering it to be an unpleasant reality in my life.
Today I went to doctor google about it and landed on the we md. site, ( see link above)
As I scrolled through, almost yawning with the boredom of seeing nothing new, suddenly under the heading of possible causes, was RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS.
So fellow hound dogs, lets get on the track of this.
Speaking of sweating.....I recently flew using wheelchair assist, a service I have used before.
I have found the quality of this service very inconsistent even with the same airline.
On this last trip, the staff member assigned to push me, looked and sounded angry, she sighed as she pushed me, talking of how it hurt her back!
She asked me to move to an electric chair, ok, no problem, but she kept complaining until finally as we reached our destination, she turned to face me complaining of how much she was sweating.
I could not resist saying " we'll think of all the money you have saved by not needing to go to the gym"
Yes I did put in an official complaint and received a phone call from the airline with a horrified reaction and then strangely, a survey form about that particular trip.
This is not the first time I have experienced attitudes like this and although I seldom fly now, it adds greatly to the burden of everyday living that we cope with.
So as Alcoholics Anonymous says " God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference"
Otherwise known as the serenity prayer
