Friday, November 21, 2008 at 08:26 AMI am currently off work again !!! since being diagnosed in 2006 at the age of 35 have been ok for 2 years but the last few months have been horrendous .... I also have a job where I sit down all day but I just find it all tooooo much to cope nice to know I am not alone .

Hi Carolyn, you were not treated fairly. That doctor should be reported. Please find another doctor. Check with your local
Arthritis Foundation, thats how I found my doctor. And she is a blessing. As far as your job, you are the only one to judge that. I have had ra since 1991 and I am still working. Its painful but I need the insurance so you do what you have to. My doctor wants me to stop working but disablility was not the answer, thats to 2/3 years here in Miss. How will I pay mortgage and buy my meds. I'm single with grown kids with their own families, so I continue to work. If I am not feeling good, I just dont go. So its a choice you have to make about how long you can work and it depends on the type of work. Iam customer service so I sit and talk on the phone all day. not to stressing.Hope you fine a decent doctor that understands your pain as we do.
