I'm a shift worker. I work a (4) on, (4) off rotation. I work (4) day shifts 07:00am to 07:00pm, have (4) days off, if I don't work any overtime, then I work (4) night shifts 07:00pm to 07:00am. I feel like I am my worst enemy with my RA sometimes! Wit...

I think it is great you love your job. The hours would be tiring for anyone I would assume.
I do not know what would work best for you but I do know that with or with out RA rest and sleep is very vital for our health.
Would it be possible with your work to choose only one shift to work? I know many places are on rotating shifts now so not sure if you have the choice. But if you have the choice to not work a rotating shift possibly the fatigue would be less.

Thank you for the responce. I really have considered bidding back to day shift. I originally bid off of day shift because the work was much more physical and busy. I needed a less physically demanding job, but the hours are definately weighing on me. Good luck to you too!

I'm a flight attendant. No regular sleep, no "normal" to my life. I have "titters" of RA in my blood work and am a Grave's disease sufferer. I felt your pain when I read about your job. I wonder how long I'll be able to drag my self from coast to coast and continent to continent with the joint pain I occasionally suffer. With the economy as it is I constantly think about another job, but I have my doubts about my ability to find one. I need my insurance as you do. Good luck.

Its nice to hear from someone who has as crazy a schedule as I do. I can't imagine flying coast to coast on a daily basis! Do you just get used to the jet lag??? It seems that when I fly, I feel really rotton the next day.
I wonder about my ability to get another job too. Good luck to you!!!
