Worst pain than having rheumatoid arthritis

By nan Thursday, January 15, 2009

I have been living with RA for over half of my life and have learn to deal with it.  I learn early on that you have to fight this diease every day to win and I have done that. My daughter was told on her 18th birthday that she had adult onset RA.  That hurt me more than my normal pain but we learnt to deal with it and move on.  Now my six years old granddaughter has been told she has JRA.  I know with all the advances in treatment and new medicienes that she will be okay because she also has my fighting spirit. But to think about her dealing with the pain is tough to acknowledge.  Thank you RA central for provide a place for us to unload problems and to share our thoughts.

Sounds like you have some strong women, and a strong little girl, in your family!   Your positive attitude will have a big impact on how they deal with RA.  They see you being strong, and never giving up, and that is what is going to keep them going and fighting.

I cant imagin what you may feel, I have RA and that is my fear that one of my daughters will have RA.  You have my best of wishes to your family.  With a tough mother and grandmother like you, your girls will win every time.  Even with Mr. RA staying around.

If you ever need to talk, vent, or have questions please feel free to talk to me.  I know how important it is to let it all out sometimes.

Take care, and stay stong....

Thanks for  your comment. We call it strong but my husband calls it stubborn.  I told him whatever works and he agreed with me. My sister who also has RA, my daughter and I all use the same doctor, when I told her that KayLyn had JRA she gave me a hug and said when KayLyn moved from childrens to university she have a special clinic for our family.

Thanks again and my God Bless
