Since being diagnosed with RA back in December I've felt a million different emotions and I've shook most of them off so far, thank goodness.  But some of them seem to still linger.  I'm not sure if I'll shake these off.  Something I never really hear women or men with RA talk about-I feel so inadequate as a young woman.  I'm trying to focus on getting my health better but its alot of competition out here as a young woman.  I wanna work and go to college and gain some type of independence but who knows whats ahead for me.  I feel icky and I feel deformed.  I'm even starting to look icky on the outside because of stress.

This is off the subject but I was wondering (And definitely not trying to be a perv.)-Has anyone noticed a difference in their skin and sex drive since they began taking methotrexate?  My skin breaks out constantly and, like I said not trying to be a perv., but my sex drive has went thru the roof...I'm not sure if they're connected or ?  I mean I am 21 and I understand it's normal to have a higher sex drive at 21 but I don't know if it's the medicines putting my RA into remission so I'm finally feeling the sex drive I was suppose to originally have before the RA or if something wackys going on.  I'm thinking it's something wacky because of the acne too.  Okay, again not trying to be pervy just wondering.

I was also wondering has anyone ever heard of molecular mimicry and RA?  My rheumatologists mentioned it to me and recommended me to read some books by Dr. John Mcdougall.  My rheumy said he had an excellent diet for rheumatoid arthritis.  My rheumy wants me to follow it.  Anyone know anything about it?

And thanks to everyone whose replied to my posts, I read all of them and I appreciate the encouragement, thanks so much!  Laughing
