Surgery tomorrow

By Nan Monday, March 14, 2011

Tomorrow is the big day for me, and I am nervous. I went and registered today at the hospital which didn't help the butterflies in my tummy at all. I have been working like crazy around the house trying to make sure everything is clean and tidy, laundry done and I even cooked up 11 meals and put them in the freezer to help the family out. Being without a right hand for a while is going to be hard. I was worried about being able to do any or all of this due to being off the enbrel for 2 weeks now. Something was smiling on me and I do appreciate it, I will be able to rest and get better without so much worry now. Yay! I bought a bunch of grab and eat food for me too so I won't have to bother everyone. Fruit, yogurts, soup at hand, stuff like that. My 15 yr old daughter is home for spring break this week so she can make coffee for me and open water bottles. I even bought a couple of sundresses so I wont have to pull up pants. I sure hope I am not jinxing myself right now, I have been so afraid of a flare up while Im off the meds. If I have jinxed myself at least I got alot done in preparation. I'll let everyone know how it went in a few days.

Hi, Nan,

I know what you mean about butterflies.   It is natural to be nervous.  Sounds as though you have really prepared for this surgery.  I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I am a believer, so you will be in my prayers. I hope you don't mind.

Best Wishes, Nan.
