Hey everyone, It's been 2 weeks since my surgery and I'm doing well. They removed my trapezium bone in my right hand and replace it with one of my arm tendons, then tightened things up. I'm still in a splint not aloud to move my thumb or wrist for 2 more weeks. I've been to PT 4 times but only to wash it and change the dressing. It's healing very nicely and the surgeon did a great job as far as the scar. It's very neat and thin. The swelling is going down more everyday. My PTist said I can now use my fingertips to help wash my hair and pick up my food, not telling her about the typing hahahaha. She's a bit tough i would not want to be on her bad side. lol.
my hand looks a little strange now too, the shape of my hand is different. The fat part of my thumb is smaller and the square edge of my thumb-to-wrist joint is gone, it now tapers from my middle thumb joint to the middle of my wrist. Thanks for checking on me.

congratulations on doing so well! I've been thinking about how you were doing I was debating on whether I should send you a message, but didn't want to make you type. And here you are, typing anyway. I'm so telling your therapist!
